People’s United Financial shares were higher 3% in pre-market trade after the company reported late Thursday Q2 adjusted earnings and revenues that beat expectations compiled by Capital IQ. Q2 adjusted EPS was $0.24 per share, two cents above the consensus. Reported EPS was $0.19 per share, down from $0.23 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Revenues taken as the sum of net interest income and non-interest income were $366.5 million, up from $325.4 million a year earlier and higher than the $357.2 million average estimate. The company’s board also approved an unchanged quarterly dividend of $0.1725 per share, payable on Aug. 15 to holders of record on Aug. 1.
