CoreCivic, which owns and manages private prisons and detention centers, said early Tuesday it modified its contract with the state of Ohio to house up to an additional 996 offenders at CoreCivic’s 2,016-bed Northeast Ohio Correctional Center.
The initial term of the amended contract continues through June 2032 with unlimited renewal options subject to appropriations and mutual agreement.
